CARVED JACOBEAN STYLE ARMCHAIR. Second half 19th century, probably England. The crest profusely carved with scrolling leaf tips above the oval cane back with scrolling borders joined to barley-twist balusters headed by blocked rosettes and pineapple terminals. The acanthus carved arms on barley-twist supports centering the trapezoidal cane and carved seat raised on barley-twist legs joined by conforming H stretcher, the frontal stretcher with scrolling leaf tips.
