GROUP OF IVORY CARVINGS. 19th century. To include: a carved ivory sphere or diptych opening to a scene of a family confrontation. The exterior carved with a crest on one side; the opposing side carved with a bust in profile. Together with three round ivory boxes, each mounted with a portrait of the period. And a carved two-sided pendant, carved with religious scenes. SIZE: Sphere: 2-1/3″ d. Largest box: 2-3/8″ d. CONDITION: The sphere with repairs to hinge, the boxes with small shrinkage cracks. Otherwise, all are good. 9-29315 (600-800)
