PAIR OF TIFFANY STUDIOS TULIP TREE CANDLESTICKS. Rare pair of Tiffany Studios candlesticks in the tulip tree design have bases comprised of three overlapping leaves supporting a slender stem extending upward to a blooming tulip flower. Candlesticks are finished in a rich brown patina with green highlights. Each candlestick is signed on the underside “Tiffany Studios New York 11486”. The candlesticks are pictured in the book Tiffany Lamps & Metalware by Alastair Duncan, pg. 389, illus. 1588 and also pg. 384, illus. 1566 which is a reprint of an early Tiffany catalog photograph. SIZE: 18″ t. CONDITION: One candleholder insert is missing and some minor discoloration to patina. Otherwise very good to excellent. 5-66920 (5,000-7,000)
