HIGH QUALITY ART GLASS LAMP. Handsome leaded shade, attributed to Gorham is constructed in a multitude of hues ranging from amethyst, to rose, to golden yellow, and to lemon yellow. Each panel is comprised of striated glass with each of the colors mentioned. Further accenting the shade is a band of bent panel glass in various shapes but of the same color scheme as the geometric panels. The outside of this shade is elaborately decorated in bronze work with grapes, and art nouveau foliage. Further accenting this lower bronze work are medallion faces of Bacchus in high relief. Adorning his head are grapes and leaves. Extending upwards from this bronze apron is a vertical draped ladder design that ends with a bent panel crown and more ornate bronze work. The shade is supported by an equally impressive base of high art nouveau styling that carries this influence even further.
