REMINGTON NEW MODEL ARMY CARTRIDGE CONVERSION REVOLVER. Cal. 46 RF. SN 137772. Conversion #1932. Blued finish, 8” oct bbl, pinched front sight, conversion cylinder with S&W/White patent date stamp, brass triggerguard, 2-pc smooth walnut grips with government cartouche on left grip. Accompanied by a detachable nickel shoulder stock. This revolver is a typical S&W/Remington conversion contract revolver that is military inspected from leftover Civil War inventory. Consignor found this revolver with shoulder stock hardware installed on butt & adapted a non-factory shoulder stock of Frank Wesson type to this revolver to fit the existing hardware. Quite unusual & rarely seen. CONDITION: Fine. 75% blue on iron parts, worn on the grip straps & high points. Reproduction stock retains much of the orig finish and nearly all of the added finish on the altered parts. Bore is lightly pitted, action is fine. 4-59328 JH140 (4,000-6,000)
