BIEDERMEIER WALNUT BOOKCASE. Second quarter 19th century. The stepped molded cornice above the astragal-glazed door applied with ebonized Gothic arched moldings flanked by conforming engaged half-column pilasters with gilt capitals and bases. The interior fitted with three shelves. Raised on a blocked base, the apron with classical ebonized decorative elements simulating rays. SIZE: 71″ h x 45″ w x 19-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: Collection and shop contents of Linda and the late Vito Peri (owners of the Blue Dolphin Antique Shop, Northport, Maine).
