TIFFANY STUDIOS LEADED TULIP TABLE LAMP. Rare-sized Tiffany lamp begins with an overall tulip pattern. The tulips are in various stages from buds to full floral bloom. The glass in the tulips is vibrant warm orange and yellow. The foliage is comprised of a multitude of greens from medium apple green to deep turquoise. Accenting the tulips is a fine background of confetti glass. This glass is heavily textured so it simply sparkles to give the effect of sunset, thus this lamp is commonly referred to as the Sunset Tulip. Shade is supported by a three arm base with a wonderful predominantly brown to green patina finish. The style of the base is an urn shape supported by five Art Nouveau columns all resting on a round platform foot. Base has a single socket and appears to be an original Tiffany conversion which makes this an extremely early Tiffany lamp. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 1905”. Signed on the two burners “P. Duplex A”. Base is marked “Tiffany Studios New York”. Exceptional example. SIZE: Shade is 14″ dia. Overall 21″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with very few, if any, tight hairlines in the shade. Base is very good to excellent. 5-66405 (25,000-35,000)
