PATINATED AND INLAID COPPER VASE SIGNED “P. MERGIER”. Paul-Louis Mergier (French, 1891-1981). The large vase with everted rim depicting a ringmaster performing with two rearing horses, drums, and banners forming the background. The figures inlaid with various metals, including silver. All on a patinated copper vase. Signed at the lower portion of the vase. Also stamped “Made in France”, beneath the vase. SIZE: 13-1/2″ h x 8-1/2″ dia. CONDITION: Structurally very good, some soiling to surfaces, with nice patina. 9-27211 (1,000-1,500)
