PAIR OF WILLIAM IV SILVER TWO-HANDLED TROPHY LOVING CUPS. Each having an engraved cartouche “Won at Duncannon Races”. One 17th October, 1833, the other 31st, October, 1833. Both marked maker’s mark “IN” and “Sterling”. Footed loving cups having scroll and leaf decorated handles, raised band at mid point of a tapered bowl and round foot. Weight: 29 tr. oz. SIZE: 5″ h x 7″ at widest. PROVENANCE: The Woolworth Collection (F W Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Showing some dimples, generally very good. 9-94605 (800-1,200)
