SIGNED (Early 20th Century) THE ARAB MERCHANTS. Oil on wood panel scene shows two older men in Arab clothing seated with their fruit produce including melons and eggs. They sit outside a building with a city behind with tall temples. Signed lower right indistinctly. Housed in a fine and possibly original gesso decorated gilt frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 19-1/2” x 24-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. Wood grain shows through painting for added texture. 9-71390 (2,000-3,000)
