PAIR OF RENAISSANCE REVIVAL CAST-BRASS ANDIRONS TOGETHER WITH A SIMILAR FENDER. Second half 19th century. The acorn finials on reeded urn plinths joined to swelled standards, all cast with leaf tips raised on scrolled foliate cast legs terminating in claw feet. The fender with reeded rail joined by leaf cast turned spindles centering five pierced brass panels cast with scrolling floral vinery, each with a cartouche centering a bird, raised on a stepped, molded plinth. SIZE: Andirons 21″ h. 18″ d. Fender 48″ l. CONDITION: Andirons in very good condition overall. Fender in need or resodering at corner seams, otherwise good. 9-91532 (200-400)
