RARE PAIR OF EARLY AMERICAN WROUGHT-IRON BOOT SCRAPERS. Early 19th century. Possibly Connecticut. The Z-form iron brackets with flaring C-scrolled flanges centering a rectangular scraper with central pierced heart retaining traces of original blue-green paint now mounted on a rectangular display stand. SIZE: 15-3/4″ h x 14-3/4″ w. PROVENANCE: Nathan Liverant Antiques, Colchester, Connecticut. CONDITION: Very good overall with some rusting and surface pitting. 9-20346 (400-600)
