NEW ENGLAND ARROW WEATHERVANE WITH DIRECTIONALS. Late 19th century. All mounted on iron roof post, fitted with a copper ball-and-spire finial above the arrow vane with sheet copper feathers and iron arrowhead. The wrought iron directionals complete, each mounted on a wrought iron arrow-form scrolled rod. The whole now mounted on a sheet steel platform for display. SIZE: 64″ overall h. x 37″ l. of arrow. CONDITION: Spire finial needs soldering. Arrow feathers with bullet holes. Old welded repairs to directionals. Paint old and flaking. Otherwise very good. 9-94059 (1,000-1,500)
