The consignor speculated that the S&P stood for Standard & Poors. It IS Tiffany glass however we’ve been told that the S&P does not stand for Standard & Poors so we do not guarantee that.

TIFFANY STUDIOS MOSAIC TILE. Tiffany Studios mosaic tile was originally made for the Standard & Poor’s stock trading floor. The tile has pink and yellow stylized flowers against a dark blue background. The decorative center is bordered by four rows of glass inserts, one clear glass with gold foil backing, a wide row of amber striated and stippled glass, a second row of gold foil-backed glass, and the final row of amber and brown mottled glass resembling tortoise shell. The center of the tile is finished with a round mottled red glass tile overlaid with a cast metal “S&P” logo. The tile is framed in a bronze mounting with concrete backing. SIZE: 16″ dia.
