FINE GEORGE III DRESSING MIRROR. Circa 1780. The rectangular mahogany cabinet with shaped front, fitted with three aligned blocked, concave, and serpentine drawers, on ogee bracket feet, surmounted by a rectangular mirrorplate within a gilt slip and molded surround with a scrolling pierced crest centering a giltwood carved phoenix. The mirrorplate suspended on canted molded supports headed by brass-turned finials, the shaped trestle feet joined to the box. SIZE: 30-3/4″ h. x 17″ overall w. x 9″ overall d.
