FULL BODY “SMUGGLER” RUNNING HORSE WEATHERVANE. Last quarter 19th century, attributed to Harris & Co., Boston, MA. Full body example includes mane and tail modeled with a zinc head with old verdigris and gilded surfaces in combination. Now offered with a custom wood stand. SIZE: 17-1/2″ h x 32 l. PROVENANCE: Private Waterville, Maine collection. CONDITION: Very good overall. Small split in proper left rear hoof. Horizontal support rod has corroded and broken at vertical post, in need of solder repair. 9-29599 (800-1,200)
