EXCEPTIONAL LARGE TOBACCO DRYING BASKET. Mid-19th century, probably Connecticut River Valley. This fine example constructed of split ash with double wrapped rim and carved notched handles, with mustard and Windsor green painted surfaces, exhibiting square copper nailed joinery. “Kline” carved on underside of the basket.
