SET OF FOUR REGENCY INLAID ROSEWOOD LYRE-BACK SIDE CHAIRS. Second quarter 19th century. Each chair having square horizontal crest rail with turned rosette finials, above the shaped lyre-form splat headed by a leaf-inlaid pediment, the lyre base with inlaid flowerhead. The overupholstered shaped seat with bowfront and swelled sides, raised on tapered cylindrical legs with ringed cuffs. SIZE: Each 36″ h. of back. CONDITION: Chairs retain old original surfaces, with minor professional tightening at rear seat rail on one chair. One chair missing single rosette at seat rail. 9-94434 (1,000-1,500)
