FINE NEW YORK F. GROTE & CO. ROULETTE TABLE. First 3rd 20th century. The table with original baize lined gaming surface, the wheel head end with detachable tray, mounted on a double turned pedestal base raised on claw feet joined by a baluster turned stretcher. The 31″ rosewood and maple wheel with silvered central mounting post cast “F. GROTE & CO. MAKERS-312 & 316-E. 23 ST. NEW YORK”. The mounting plate with the stamped number 178. The wheel with original fitted shipping crate. This item is accompanied by a quantity of period $1.00 and $5.00 chips. SIZE: 31-3/4″ h x 8′ l x 43-1/4″ w. CONDITION: Wheel is in very good original condition. Baize surfaces sound but with wear and overall fading. Some wear and losses to baise side edge at player’s end, also with small holes.
