FINE GEORGE III MAHOGANY SLANT-LID BOOKCASE SECRETARY. Late 18th century. In two parts, the upper case with dentil-molded architectural pediment and cornice above a pair of astragal-glazed cabinet doors, fitted to the lower case with thumbmolded hinged sloping lid, opening to an interior with an arrangement of four pigeonholes and seven drawers, above four long graduated drawers on a molded base, raised on shaped bracket feet. SIZE: 90″ h. x 39″ case w. x 23″ d. CONDITION: Very fine condition overall, professionally restored with repolished old surfaces. With old brass hardware.
