NEW ENGLAND SHERATON MAHOGANY TWO DRAWER DROP LEAF STAND. First quarter 19th century. The square top with hinged rectangular leaves above the conforming case fitted with a bank of two short drawers, each with figural veneer satinwood fronts and diamond escutcheons, raised on swelled tapering reeded cylindrical ring-turned legs terminating in brass ferrels and casters. Frontal legs headed by satinwood string inlaid paterae. SIZE: 28″ h x 19-1/4″ w x 19″ d. CONDITION: Structurally very good with good color and patina. 9-29042 (1,200-1,800)
