WILLIAM LIONEL WYLLIE (British, 1851-1931) “U.S. 44-GUN FRIGATE CONSTITUTION (OLD IRONSIDES)”. Aquatint engraving by Harold Wyllie after a painting by W.L. Wyllie. Both have pencil signed the image and the scene shows the ship in full sail in quiet sea with other boats. Published 1924 by Robert Dunthorne & Son. Housed in a black wood frame with highlighted matte. Back retaining an M. O’Brien & Son Chicago label. SIZE: 15-1/2″ x 20-1/2″. CONDITION: Some fading. Generally good. 9-94421 (400-600)
