TWO SHERATON TRANSITIONAL MAHOGANY WING CHAIRS. Mid 19th century. Each with serpentine crest rail continuing to ogival wings joined to over-scrolled arms centering trapezoidal seat. The first raised on ring-turned cylindrical legs. The second raised on short cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, both raised on casters. Each overupholstered in a pink brocade. SIZE: Backs: 46″ h x 31-1/2 w and 45″ h x 33″ w. Seats: approx 17″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine Maine and New York private collection.
