TIFFANY STUDIOS LINENFOLD DESK LAMP. Bronze base has a gold dore finish and a vertically ribbed decoration to saucer bottom. The base is finished with two sockets, riser, wheel and pierced top cap. The base supports a fabrique or linenfold style of shade that Tiffany created by molding glass to represent linen. These linenfold glass panels have vertical ribbing and are complimented by horizontal smaller pieces of linenfold glass. This glass is set in an ornate bronze frame also carrying the gold dore. This lamp is a wonderful all original example of the lamps created by Tiffany Studios. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 1818V”. Base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 612”.
