UNUSUAL FOLK ART PAINTED GAMEBOARD. First half 19th century, American. The gameboard painted in red, black and cream, each corner paint-decorated depicting an apple tree in each of the four seasons. Centering a square panel decorated with a red barn within a fence marked “HOME”. Signed “J.K. Bosse(?) and dated “32”(?). SIZE: 15-3/4″ h x 22″ l. CONDITION: With crusty dry painted surfaces, darkened from age and heat, remains good. 9-29593 (800-1,200)
