LARGE SALT GLAZE OVOID JUG. Mid 19th century, possibly Ohio or Midwest. This large example applied with opposing C-scrolled handles centering a pronounced mouth, the shoulder decorated with a graphic “5” above five graduated lines in underglaze blue. The opposing side decorated with a “0” over four graduated lines. SIZE: 18″ h. CONDITION: With shallow chips to mouth collar. Normal and expected abrasions throughout and with variegated light brown staining. Otherwise good. 9-28807 (700-900)
