FRENCH VINCENTI ET CIE EMPIRE STYLE CRYSTAL REGULATOR. Late 19th, early 20th century. Retailed by Tiffany & Co and so marked on back plate of movement, back plate additionally stamped with Vincenti’s Medaille d’Argent 1855 above the serial number “6373 69”. Additionally stamped “MADE IN FRANCE”. Enameled dial with Roman numeral chapter ring and with time and strike apertures, fitted within a Classical rectangular brass case, top with step molding and inset corners, body sides each fitted with beveled glass panels, a hinged door at front and back, on conforming plinth. Accompanied by key and twin cylinder mercury pendulum. SIZE: 14-1/2″ h x 9-1/4″ w overall x 7″ d overall. CONDITION: Very good overall. Case with nice patina, gilding has been removed. 9-24818 (1,000-1,500)
