TIFFANY STUDIOS DAFFODIL TABLE LAMP. Leaded shade begins with a floral daffodil pattern constructed with fairly dense green, amber and white striated opal with faint mottles and extensive surface freckling in the background. The flowers are constructed with a yellow to white translucent opal with faint mottles and extensive freckling and the centers correspond with the same coloration but having a rippled texture. The leaves are in various shades of green striated glass with some mixed with yellow and scattered mottling. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 1449-29”. When a shade has a dash number in the signature, it was considered to be a prime example. Shade is supported by an extremely rare and unusual Gentian base with an openwork stem and petal design at the foot with beading above and below. Base is completed with three key sockets, riser, wheel and top cap with all having a desirable patina finish. Base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 871”. Lamp is accompanied by a letter of authentication from Paul Crist Studios, Inc., Santa Fe Springs, CA. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Overall 22″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good with several tight hairlines having no missing glass and base is very good to excellent. 5-66869 (40,000-50,000)
