LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT-BRONZE-MOUNTED ONYX BRACKET-FORM SHELF CLOCK RETAILED BY TIFFANY & CO. Circa 1880. The domed top with cast carrying handle and cast-urn finials above the onyx case fitted with a circular beveled glass opening to the onyx face fitted with raised circular numerals and time and strike apertures, the face marked Tiffany & Co, New York, all within fleur-de-lis spandrels on a stepped base raised on egg-and-dart cast bronze feet. With numbered French brass works. SIZE: 15-1/2″ overall h. x 9″ overall w. x 6″ d. CONDITION: Missing one finial, brass works appear good, striking mechanism needs re-setting, with minor repairs in onyx case. Clock sold with key and pendulum. 9-91477 (1,000-2,000)
