BASIL NIGHTINGALE (British, 1864-1940) “EQUINE FROLIC”. Fine watercolor of three horses running and jumping in a grassy field with open gate just beyond. Birds fly overhead in a cloud and blue sky and a farm is seen in the distance. Signed lower right and dated “1882”. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame with highlighted matte. SIGHT SIZE: 15-1/4” x 22-1/2”. CONDITION: Small 1/2” repair to left side, otherwise very good. 9-74770 MD (2,000-4,000)
