DIMINUTIVE NEW ENGLAND QUEEN ANNE MAPLE DROP LEAF TABLE. Mid 18th century, probably Massachusetts. The rectangular top with bowed ends fitted with hinged demilune leaves projecting above the straight apron raised on cabriole legs terminating in round pad feet with platforms. SIZE: 27″h x 15″w x 40″l. CONDITION: Very fine original condition with scrubbed surfaces, minimal amounts of original red paint evident. Retaining good honey color. Some minor restoration to leaves at hinges. Top shows evidence of later dowels to reinforce top to apron. Tabletop surfaces showing normal and expected wear. 9-94213 (3,000-4,000)
