CLASSICAL REVIVAL CARVED MAHOGANY TUBULAR CHIME TALL CASE CLOCK. 1900 – 1910 Schwarzwald, Germany. The brass movement stamped with the maker’s name Math. Bauerle, Saint Georgem, and with the serial number 1014985. The mahogany case with Gothic molded crest above the conforming frieze continuing to fluted engaged half columns centering and astragal door with glass panels. The moon face dial with Arabic chapter ring applied overall with scrolling cast brass leaf tips centering a seconds subsidiary dial. The brass movement playing off nine tubes and driven by three brass weights. The brass pendulum on burnished steel rod. The case sides each with hinged glass panel door. The case raised on frontal engaged pentagonal faceted feet. SIZE: 79-1/4″ h x 23-1/2″ w overall x 16-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Case with original untouched surfaces now with dark brown color and undisturbed patina. Dial and movement appear clean and very good. 9-23617 (1,500-2,500)
