LARGE MOLDED COPPER COW WEATHERVANE. Last quarter 19th century, New England. With strong similarities of those made by Harris and Cushing & White. This fine example with zinc head and gilt body with wavy molded tail and pronounced udder. Now accompanied with a museum stand. Note: This nice example sold at Guyette & Schmidt auction April 27-28, 1995 lot 314. SIZE: 21″ h x 38″ l x 7-1/2″ w. CONDITION: With old gilded surfaces, and with traces of gilding on head. Minimal and minor spots of restoration, and with small seam splits at shoulders and proper right rear hoof. Otherwise very good. 9-29029 (7,000-9,000)
