FRENCH FISH MARKET SIGN. 19th/20th Century. The sign having a molded wood frame, inner rectangular framed mirror surrounded by 52 white tiles having hand painted fish titled “Delices des Mers”. Probably removed from wall & remounted on wood panel in the first half of the 20th Century. SIZE: 67″ x 49″. PROVENANCE: Steve’s Pier One, Bayville, Long Island, 1970-98. CONDITION: Tiles are very good, mirror has losses to backing. 9-24068 (1,000-2,000)
