EARLY AMERICAN STAR-DECORATED PANTRY BOX IN BLUE-BLACK PAINT. 2nd quarter 19th century. Of circular form with conforming lid, decorated with 5-pointed incised yellow star within a circle on a blue-black ground, the interior of lid with interesting scribe marks and penciled inscriptions. SIZE: 2-3/4″ h. x 6-3/4″ dia. CONDITION: Original painted surfaces, retaining good color, some bleeding of knots in lid. Normal and acceptable wear, generally very good. 9-99369 (500-700)
