IMPORTANT RENAISSANCE REVIVAL MARQUETRY CENTER TABLE. Third quarter 19th century, New York or Philadelphia. The top centered by an inlaid panel depicting musical instruments and flora on an ebonized ground, surrounded by a foliate, urn and grotesque inlaid burl walnut and rosewood field, each end with cartouche with marquetry landscape. The conforming frieze with marquetry panels at the sides, raised on incised trumpet legs joined by a low double stretcher joined to a central incised finial, raised on brass capped casters. SIZE: 30″ h x 48″ l x 32″ w. CONDITION: Very good, with old polished surfaces, and with minimal and minor professional touch-ups to ebonized end, parcel gilt surfaces. 9-28158 (4,000-6,000)
