ENGRAVED J.E. EVANS PERCUSSION DERINGER. Cal. 36 Perc. NSN. Blued bbl & lock, 2-1/2” irregular bbl, dovetail German silver blade front sight & notched rear sight. Marked on bbl “J.E. EVANS PHILADA”. Mounted in a 1-pc walnut stock with checkered grip and German silver engraved inlays. Lock, hammer & hammer screws are floral engraved and rear of bbl & bbl tang are also engraved. There is a blank German silver shield nameplate on stock. Triggerguard is German silver with floral engraving & pineapple finial. Consignor purchased pistol to complement a J.E. Evans shotgun, also being sold in this auction. It has the exact same hammer design. CONDITION: Good. Bbl has been polished, removing part of the marking, with patina added. Stock has a small repair at the tip of the triggerguard & shows signs of refinishing. Bore is dark. Action is good. 4-59415 JH101 (1,500-2,500)
