TIFFANY STUDIOS TURTLEBACK DESK LAMP. Handsome turtleback desk lamp begins with two turtlebacks with deep blue coloration having amazing iridescence in purple, green and pink when off and intense emerald green color when on. The two turtlebacks are backed with white liners. This technique was used by Tiffany to give the lamp a finished look as well as diffusing the light for proper illumination while the lamp was in use. These turtlebacks are surrounded by ornate bronze work which is supported by two arms extending down into a leaf decoration and ending with a jewel green platform base. This lamp carries a desirable rich chocolate brown patina finish with green accents. Signed on the underside “Tiffany Studios New York 28632″ as well as the Glass & Decorating logo. SIZE: 14” t.
