FINE WILLIAM & MARY CARVED OAK JOINT STOOL. 18th Century, England. The rectangular single board top with molded edge joined to the conforming frieze, raised on blocked and ring-turned cylindrical legs, joined by an original box stretcher. The whole of pegged construction. SIZE: 22″h x 18″l x 11-1/2″w. PROVENANCE: Purchased from Jack Partridge, North Edgecomb, Maine in the mid-1980s by the current owner. CONDITION: Structurally very good with dark, blackened surfaces. Very good patina. Top is original to base. 9-23782 (800-1,200)
