G. ARGY ROUSSEAU VASE. Referred to as the “Greek Frieze” pattern, this vase begins with an ethereal ground and is decorated in fabulous teals and blues. This teal-and-blue coloration is carried out in three layers, from the mottled background hues to the mid-ground decoration and finally the pronounced Greek key pattern. This vase may be further referenced in the book, G. Argy Rousseau – Glassware As Art, by Janine Bloch-Dermant, p. 210, plate 27.03. Signed “G.
