TIFFANY STUDIOS SPIDER TABLE LAMP. Handsome spider web lamp begins with curved panels of small panels of irregular geometric form in colors of butterscotch, peach and yellow. This design which came directly after the geometrics and acorns shows carefully designed irregularities created to give the idea of a spider and its web. The top portion representing the spider’s legs in heavy bronze is highlighted by lightly dichroic glass which gives a wonderful shading to the lamp when lit. Shade is finished with an irregular border and is supported by a three socket base of organic design. The lamp is completed with a bronze top cap representing the body of the spider. The entire lamp is a very nice gold patina finish. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 2909”. Base is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 337”. SIZE: Shade is 15″ dia. Lamp is 18″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with minor wear to patina finish. 5-69278 (45,000-55,000)
