NEST OF ADAMS STYLE PAINT DECORATED FRUITWOOD TABLES. Third quarter of the 19th Century. Each rectangular top of graduated size painted with a border of polychrome floral sprays, the largest, with a central oval panel depicting three female figures beneath a fruit tree. All raised on a double trestle base of colonnettes, each joined by a rectangular stretcher, the outswept legs of serpentine form decorated with foliate garlands. SIZE: 24-3/4″ h x 19″ w x 13-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Tables retaining original cleaned surfaces with original paint, minor old shrinkage crack on largest top, structurally good. 9-98780 (2,000-3,000)
