FOLDING BACKGAMMON & CHECKERBOARD. Circa 1840, New England. The rectangular pine game box, the exterior with mustard and black painted painted checkerboard. The corners each with leaf sprig decoration, opening to an interior painted with chrome yellow, bittersweet orange, and black backgammon board. A square nailed construction with original brass hinges. SIZE: 2-1/2″ h x 15-3/4″ l x 7-1/2 w closed. 15-3/4″ l x 14-3/4″ w open. CONDITION: Very good untouched condition with age appropriate surface abrasions and wear. 9-27807 (800-1,200)
