CHARLES RUSSELL LOOMIS (American, 1857-1936) THE FLOWER GARDEN. Fine watercolor scene shows a stone path leading to an opening in a low rock wall, which leads to a garden area with central well and colorful blossoming flowers. Colorful flowers are seen in front of the wall with two large glass bottles standing guard at entrance. Signed lower left “Ch. Russell Loomis”. Housed in a modern partial gilt wood frame with double matte. PROVENANCE: The J. Hollis Wyman Estate, Milbridge, Maine (State Senator and Wild Blueberry King). SIGHT SIZE: 10-1/2” x 14-1/2”.
