Lot Added AMERICAN TROTTING HORSE WEATHERVANE W/DIRECTIONALS. Last quarter 19th century. The full-bodied copper weathervane with verdigris surface and zinc head, modeled with life-like features, presented with directionals, ball, and original rod. To be offered with a copper display stand. Similar to those examples by Harris and by J. W. Fiske companies. SIZE: Weathervane only: 16-1/2″ x 29″. CONDITION: With original old weathered surfaces. Minor seam splits in tail, together with creasing at juncture to body. Seam splits on lower chest and stomach. Rod with corrosion at juncture to body. Bullet hole in horizontal support tube. Directionals have solder repair at center. Otherwise very good condition with normal wear and rust on surfaces. 9-93080 (2,000-3,000)
