HEPPLEWHITE STICK BAROMETER, D.E. LENT. First quarter 19th century. Manufactured and/or retailed by D.E. Lent, Rochester, NY and so marked on the silvered dial. The dial mounted with mercury thermometer left side facing, and barometric scale on the right. The glass tube terminating in a glass cistern visible through a viewing window. SIZE: 36″ h. CONDITION: Glass tube and cistern possibly not intact. Mercury absent. Molding missing at side of case with original alligator and crackled surfaces. 7-70129 (600-800)
