PAIR OF AMERICAN CHIPPENDALE BRASS BEEHIVE ANDIRONS WITH TOOLS. Late 18th century. The ring-turned and faceted shaft with incised and faceted beehive finial raised on cabriole double spurred legs raised on ball feet. Together with an associated shovel and two pair of fire tongs. The brass tools with ball tops, banded at the mid point. SIZE: 16″ h x 22″ d. CONDITION: Andirons generally good, log stops absent. Dogs original. Tools generally good. 9-27537 (350-400)
