LARGE LIVERPOOL TRANSFER-DECORATED CREAMWARE MASONIC PITCHER. 1st half 19th century. One side transfer-decorated with a tableau of Masonic symbols set between columns. The reverse within a ribbon-tied wreath, a poem “The World is in Pain/Our Secrets to gain/But still let them wonder & gaze on/For they ne’er can divine/the WORD nor the SIGN/Of a Free & an Accepted Mason.” SIZE: 11-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Very good overall, minor chip at rear top rim next to handle. No restorations noted. 9-99070 (1,000-1,800)
