TWO PAIR OF BRASS ANDIRONS AND FIREGUARD. Late 18th- early 19th century, American. Comprising of a pair of brass urn-form andirons with ring-turned shafts raised on scroll legs terminating in four suppressed ball feet. The second, a pair of ball top Chippendale andirons, with double spur cabriole legs terminating in ball feet. The brass fireguard with pierced decoration overall centering an half round midband raised on three frontal stylized claw feet. SIZE: First height: 16-1/2″. Second height: 13-1/2″. Guard length: 34″ CONDITION: All with old surfaces, structurally intact, but in need of minor restorations. 9-27452 (400-600)
