RICHARD EVETT BISHOP (American, 1887-1975) TWO WORKS: MALLARDS IN FLIGHT. 1) Oil on canvasboard scene shows seven mallard ducks flying in proximity to a tree with yellow foliage. They are in the process of landing to the unseen water below. All seen under a blue and white cloud sky. Pencil inscribed lower left, signed and dated “1945”. Titled “Late Autumn” on reverse and signed. 2) Oil on canvasboard scene shows eight mallard ducks flying in front of a tree with green leaves and land on the unseen water below. Unsigned. Both identically housed in decorative wood frames with gilt liners. SIZE: 1) 12″ x 16″. 2) 16″ x 12″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-97282 (6,000-8,000)
